Graduate Credit Toward a Degree
You are eligible for graduate credits for the Mentorship and Fellowship programs from affiliated universities. These credits can be applied toward a post-professional Clinical Doctorate in Physical Therapy, depending upon the institution. The units offered by each institution are identified below. Creighton University
School of Physical Therapy in Omaha, Nebraska, offers a Transitional (post-professional) DPT involving distance-based education.
A majority of the course work is offered online. Selected course work is provided in an intensive format at Creighton. Creighton
offers 8 units credit for the 3-month Mentorship and 12-14 units for completion of the combined Mentorship and Fellowship at Kaiser.
Additional Advanced Standing units may be achieved upon review of the applicant's portfolio.

Pacific University
in Forest Grove, Oregon, offers a Clinical Doctorate in Health Sciences which is distance based. Courses are taught in an
intensive format requiring a minimum of travel to the university from your home. Pacific University offers 4 units of credit
for the Mentorship and 8 units of credit for completion of the Fellowship. For further information:

University of California
San Francisco Medical Center/San Francisco State University Experienced clinicians may apply to the UCSF/SFSU Doctoral
Program in Physical Therapy. This is an intense one year academic program with coursework one evening a week and
weekends. Legible clinicians must have earned a masters degree (earned in the last 7 years), or have taken the GRE's in the
last 7 years. Once accepted into the program, experienced physical therapists with mentorship and/or fellowship training at
Kaiser Hayward may be eligible to receive credit for clinical clerkship course work ( 9 units) and may also be able to request
equivalency for selected additional didactic course work (e.g. Physical Diagnosis and Medical Screening. Contact

Graduate credits for the fellowship are equivalent to 30-36% of the required degree units, depending upon the university.
